Taking a step further in 2019, the company embarked on a journey to extend its carbon-neutral commitment beyond its operational footprint to encompass the entire life cycle of its products. In a groundbreaking move, Microsoft initiated this transition by achieving carbon neutrality for 825,000 Xbox consoles, marking the world’s first gaming console to attain carbon neutrality across the entirety of its emissions life cycle.
